The courier package is not binNMU-safe. An attempt to binNMU courier on all archs for the libldap2 -> libldap-2.4-2 library transition was rejected on upload with this error: Rejected: courier-imap_4.3.0-1+b1._sparc.deb: old version (4.3.0-1.) in unstable >= new version (4.3.0-1+b1.) targeted at unstable. This source package seems to use a somewhat broken mapping of source to binary version numbers, resulting in strange version numbers for maintainer uploads that are incompatible with binNMUs. Please fix this bug at your earliest convenience. As libldap2 will be dropped from unstable once the other reverse-dependencies are rebuilt, this will eventually become a grave bug.
