Could you possibly provide us with a trace of what was sent to the
server in this case, or your watch file so we can investigate?

uscan /does/ provide a default user agent of "Debian uscan X.Y.Z" and
has done since version 2.9.24 (November 2006); it's been configurable
since 2.10.7 in August 2007.
