Hello Paolo: I've seen your bug report and I have some comments about it. The first question would be if that file is the same you used when reporting http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=412435
If that problem is reproduceable, I think at least kexi devels should take a
look at the file. BTW, etch doesn't include the latest upstream version, so
maybe the problem is already fixed, we'll see.
You say kexi hanged, could you reproduce it? if so, could you install the
koffice-dbg package and attach to the kexi process with gdb in order to get a
bactrace. Feel free to ask for a full set of commands to attain this.
