Package: sysv-rc-conf
Version: 0.99-6
Severity: important

Hi,

sysv-rc-conf stores the start and stop priorities in
/var/lib/sysv-rc-conf/services but doesn't update them, when the package
has changed them.
E.g old versions of acpid installed
S 20 2 3 4 5 K 20 0 1 6
and a newer versions uses
S 12 2 3 4 5 K 88 0 1 6

Now, when you run
sysv-rc-conf acpid off sysv-rc-conf acpid on
the result is
S 20 2 3 4 5 K 88 0 1 6

Whenever sysv-rc-conf off is used, it should check the priorities of
current symlinks and update them accordingly in
/var/lib/sysv-rc-conf/services before disabling the job.

Cheers,
Michael
