Package: fai-server Severity: Wishlist Everytime a user tests some stuff in FAI, and it does not directly all go well, he has to debug stuff.
This goes for newbie user who try their first FAI installs, and it is also true for FAI developers. Then, always, the "nice" FAI colorlogo come in their way when they want to scroll through some messages in the console, or view the logs. This is totally annoying, it has cost me, and surely others quite some added upo time to get problems debugged, and I don't believe that this logo has any positive "marketing effect" when running on the normal sysadmins screen, anyway. Please, make fai default settings so, that this logo is not any more there by default. It can be enabled when showing FAI on trade fairs(the only place where it actually really has a useful effect), but for the general use it doesn't have any useful upside, only downsides when debugging. If there is doubt that this logo is more an annoyance to most users than a positive, hewlpful thing, then please ask the users on the mailing list. My guess is: when asked if somebody has a problem with removing the logo, nobody will reply (neither positove not negative ways), and when asked, who wants the logo to be removed, quite a handful of people wil say "yes, please remove it, it's annyoing". -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
