After thinking and experimenting with this some more, I agree with Eitan. For example, one can "fix" the name of the .css file to 'an example.css' but this name will need to become 'an%20example.css' when it has to be put in the .html file. As far as I see it the output files should follow the allowed conventions for URL's so as to avoid having to convert their names. Since the output file names are generated from the input files names, it follows that input files names should follow these conventions too! At the same time the input files names would need to follow unix naming conventions. Put together this imposes some restrictions on the allowable file names.
