Package: linda
Version: 0.3.26
Severity: normal

Hi,

people on #debian-devel say that linda is on its way out and sid
lintian does everything that linda does. Linda didn't have an upload
since more than half a year, does not offer a possibility to override
warnings against the source package, but still claims in its package
description that it offers a greater feature set than lintian.

Linda should either be better maintained and kept up to date, or
should have its package description changed to say that it is only
there for internal use (it is still used in dak and cannot thus be
removed from Debian yet) and that package maintainer should not bother
to work with linda.

Greetings
Marc
