Hi, When I submitted the request I was working on system initscripts and script for alsa and there were a number of occasions when this feature would have been useful and I solved the problem in another way. Unfortunately I can't remember the specifics now. The situation when the feature is useful is when you have a pid but no pidfile and you want to kill a process politely in just the way that s-s-d does with "--retry". -- Thomas Hood -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
