Package: ghostscript Version: 8.61.dfsg.1~svn8187-3 Severity: important As the title says, /usr/bin/ps2pdf does not exist.
May be related to #425429, but I don't see any alternatives existing, and I didn't reinstall--I'm just tracking plain unstable. What's strange is that dpkg /thinks/ it's installed. But in reality, it's not there. Maybe a maintainer script removed it? % dpkg -L ghostscript | grep ps2pdf /usr/bin/ps2pdf /usr/bin/ps2pdf12 /usr/bin/ps2pdf13 /usr/bin/ps2pdf14 /usr/bin/ps2pdfwr /usr/share/man/man1/ps2pdf.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/ps2pdfwr.1.gz /usr/share/man/de/man1/ps2pdf.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/ps2pdf13.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/ps2pdf12.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/ps2pdf14.1.gz /usr/share/man/de/man1/ps2pdf13.1.gz /usr/share/man/de/man1/ps2pdf12.1.gz % ls -l /usr/bin/ps2pdf ls: /usr/bin/ps2pdf: No such file or directory This might possibly be due to the fact that ghostscript failed to upgrade (shown below). If so, this might be a bug in the maintainer script? % sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Calculating upgrade...
