It is true that f-spot needs dbus, but it already has a dependency on dbus. Uninstalling dbus-x11 but using gnome-session to start X lets f-spot start, so dbus-x11 is not a hard dependency.
The Recommends: dbus-x11 of the dbus package is there for the benefit of people not using gnome-session or similar. dbus-x11 provides an xsession script that will set DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS whichever way you choose to start X. I'm undecided as to whether to add a Recommends: dbus-x11 on f-spot, though. -- Tim Retout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
