The submitter has probably installed a third-party application that created the cache, or a package mistakenly created one. This will break a lot of other applications besides f-spot - any time a package tries to use a newly-installed icon, it will crash (unless you keep regenerating the cache when new icons are installed).
I've got a patch to fix this bug, but it would end up with dh_icons being called twice once gnome.mk is fixed. I think it's better to wait for cdbs to change, and then f-spot will be sorted along with most of the rest of GNOME. This should hopefully happen soon. Thanks, -- Tim Retout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
