Package: makepasswd Version: 1.10-2

When I invoke 'makepasswd --chars=12 --randomseed 0', it hangs
apparently indefinitely, blocking on /dev/random. The machine I am
running this on has no local user, and nothing really installed on it.
Banging a few lines of characters on the console keyboard generates
enough entropy to complete the command.

This is how the package mantis (and possibly others) generates its
database password. Used on a new system, it causes it block reading
from /dev/random, never completing the install, unless the user has
someone local generate entropy w/ the keyboard.

Pushing traffic thru the nic (e100) does not appear to generate entropy.

A timeout, or notification of what is going on would really help.
