Yes, quite right. This build-dependency was added before groff-base existed. > This would make bootstrapping of future ports slightly more linear Well, you still have to build at least some of groff, although you can use the scheme documented in groff's debian/README.build to make this a bit easier. Fortunately this too can be disposed of; all that's needed is to force the issue with ./configure --with-mantype=doc. I've made this change in CVS now.
