Please CC the according bug when reopening bugs. java.util.Arrays was introduced in Java 1.2 so its basically included in any of todays runtimes itself. There is no need for an additional dependency. Your original bug report was about the class org.apache.lucene.util.Arrays not being found. This was a class existing in early lucene releases. It was removed in lucene again and java.util.Arrays was used instead. In Debian even the lucene version in oldstable (sarge) doesnt contain the class org.apache.lucene.util.Arrays. I dont checked woody.
