hat bug is the 6th oldest opened bug in Debian. It is however marked "upstream, wontfix" and upstream is "dead".
I really wonder whether it is useful to keep the bug opened while everybody knows that nothing will ever be done about it. After all, even if it is closed, the information is still here in case a brave soul resumes the development of GNU acct. --
