Package: pilot-link
Version: 0.12.2-11
Severity: normal

Hi.

Pilot-xfer won't be able to sync my Sony CliƩ (as : ID
054c:0066 Sony Corp. Clie PEG-N7x0C/PEG-T425 PalmOS PDA Serial in lsusb)
with the usb: device.

Something like pilot-xfer -p usb: -l won't work.

I tried and add some debugging on libusb/libpisock and stuff and noticed
this kind of errors :

libusb.c: checking device 0x8066fd0
libusb.c: 132, 0x054c 0x0066.
libusb.c: trying to open device 0x8066fd0
libusb.c: USB_handle=0x80577b8
usb: PALM_GET_EXT_CONNECTION_INFORMATION failed (err=ffffffe0)
libusb.c: USB configure failed for familar device: 0x054c 0x0066.
(LifeDrive issue?)

this is fairly similar to bug #424231 which was reported once on jpilot.

Maybe this is not on pilot-link software but on libusb ?

Anyway, it syncs just fine with /dev/ttyUSB1 provided that the module
visor is loaded...

Note that visor module is not loaded when trying to sync over usb:
though.

Would it be a bug report for libusb or libpisock9 ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
