Package: backup-manager Version: 0.7.6-3 Severity: important When using the ssh upload method, if the target directory does not exist (such as the default suggestion of /var/archives/uploads), backup-manager will upload the backups to /var/archives/uploads as a file:
$ sudo file /var/archives/uploads /var/archives/uploads: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last modified: Fri Jan 4 06:25:04 2008 This also results in the loss of all but the last backup, and presumably all but the last directory if you back up multiple directories. - Josh Triplett -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-rc4 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages backup-manager depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.17 Debian configuration management sy ii findutils 4.2.31-4 utilities for finding files--find, ii gzip 1.3.12-4 The GNU compression utility ii ucf 3.004 Update Configuration File: preserv backup-manager recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
