Package: installation-reports Severity: important I tried to install tbm's O2 netboot image (2005-04-24) to install Debian on my "new" O2. Well, the installation went ok in general, but I noticed that the partitioning process failed to proceed when I created too many partitions in the system. "too many" being 9 (well 7+2):
/boot (afterwards I learned that arcboot doesn't really support a separate /boot partition, but until that moment i didn't know that). / /usr /var /tmp /home swap plus the usual SGI_volhdr and SGI_volume partitions. After I saved the partition table with fdisk, it failed to recognize my partitions and I had to redo the whole process from the start. This time, I created 5 partitions (3+2): / swap +another big one, which I set up as an lvm partition. This time the procedure went smoothly. Hope I helped someone with this.
