It would be nice if you could add hardware details on your board..

and video card is Asus PCI-E X1600 PRO Silent - http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=2&l2=8&l3=241&l4=0&model=1477&modelmenu=2.

With previous version of fglrx driver i have not problems.

I sent a list of packages installed on my machine in case it may help.
