Hi, Today I installed kernel-image-2.4.27-2-686 (2.4.27-8) on one of the PC that was running a self-compiled kernel 2.4.27. I rebooted the machine and since then one cannot login on the console while the nscd daemon is running. The login process sleeps in sys_rt_sigsuspend, as do some children of the cron daemon.
Also, I do not pretend that this problem comes from the nscd daemon itself, but rather from the interaction of LDAP, pam, nss and nscd.
