Package: icewm-common Severity: minor The docs say TaskBarMailboxStatusBeepOnNewMail=1 by default $ find /usr/share/doc/icewm-common|xargs zgrep Beep 2>&- /usr/share/doc/icewm-common/changelog.Debian.gz: * BeepOnNewMail directive available (Closes: #17643) /usr/share/doc/icewm-common/sgml/icewm.sgml.gz:<tag/TaskBarMailboxStatusBeepOnNewMail = 1/ Beep when new mail arrives. /usr/share/doc/icewm-common/html/icewm-10.html:<DT><B>TaskBarMailboxStatusBeepOnNewMail = 1</B><DD><P>Beep when new mail arrives.</P>
But that doesn't seem to be the case, $ dlocate icewm|grep pref|xargs grep Beep 2>&- /usr/share/icewm/preferences:# Beep when new mail arrives /usr/share/icewm/preferences:# TaskBarMailboxStatusBeepOnNewMail=0 # 0/1 /etc/X11/icewm/preferences:# Beep when new mail arrives /etc/X11/icewm/preferences:# TaskBarMailboxStatusBeepOnNewMail=0 # 0/1 /usr/share/doc/icewm-themes/jaywalk/doc/preferences:BeepOnNewMail=1 One still has to put TaskBarMailboxStatusBeepOnNewMail=1 into .icewm/preferences. P.S., why there are two files /usr/share/icewm/preferences /etc/X11/icewm/preferences and not one is a mystery. Anyways, there is no --dump-configuration so the user can pinpoint what icewm is thinking. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
