In 90_mount_nfs_root the proposed new last line should use -n switch thus:
umount -n /proc the umount /tmp a couple of lines eariler should also use -n switch to stop umount complaing about being unable to update /etc/mtab or is it fstab? indeed /etc/[mtab|fstab] does not exist in the initrd.
