/etc/rcS.d/S03splashy is invoked before /etc/rcS.d/S35mountall.sh,
and therefore /sbin/splashy cannot find /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0
on the /usr filesystem because that is not yet mounted.
I suggest linking /sbin/splashy statically to avoid this problems.
