Package: netbase, hotplug Version: 4.21 Severity: normal Hello
When configuring my eth1 interface in /etc/network/interfaces I noticed that it was not brought up at the next reboot as /etc/init.d/networking is run directly before /etc/init.d/hotplug. Given that it's no longer state of the art to insert cryptic module names into /etc/modules I would suggest to move one of them to a slightly different runlevel. In my runlevel.conf they were at 40 - S /etc/init.d/networking 40 - S /etc/init.d/hotplug 41 - S /etc/init.d/hotplug-net bye, -christian- -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (9999, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.7-iscsi4 Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages netbase depends on: ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii ifupdown 0.6.4-4.12 high level tools to configure netw ii iputils-ping [ping] 3:20020927-2 Tools to test the reachability of ii netkit-inetd 0.10-10 The Internet Superserver ii tcpd 7.6.dbs-8 Wietse Venema's TCP wrapper utilit -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
