Makes sense. I must have missed it in the errata. Personally I'm afraid to run 2.6.8 because of the xfs issues, so I upgrade to 2.6.10 (which is what Ubuntu is using in Hoary) straight away after installing anyway, but the decision to stick with 2.6.8 was made carefully, so I am not complaining. > Not sure what driver your wireless needs, but this could well be a > firmware or kernel configuration issue. ipw2200; anyway, not a big deal; works fine with 2.6.10 after installation, and I used the built-in tg3 just fine during installation. (Good thing 2.6.8 through 2.6.10 still include this driver with its binary firmware in the default kernel.) > I am closing this report ss there were no major issues during the > install and as the hardware is bleeding edge and therefore, as you > said, minor issues were to be expected. Closing it is good; these comments are for the benefit of anyone who looks at this report and not an indication that it should not be closed. :-) -- Jay Berkenbilt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
