Tools like reportbug work out of the box on my machine; I suppose that it is because they recognise the DEBEMAIL environment variable, in which there is a routable email adress to use. Do you think that tagpending could use it? I could try to write a patch for this, but although I know a little bit of Perl, I do not know what is the level of securisation and input sanitisation that would be expected.
