Package: junit Version: 4.3.1-2 The "junit4" binary package does not "Depend:" on anything, let alone anything Java-related.
In comparison, the "junit" (ie. 3.x series) package depends on:
"java-gcj-compat | java1-runtime | java2-runtime".
