Package: devscripts Version: 2.8.14 Severity: normal When debdiff'ing two equally named native source packages, debdiff refuses to operate, stating:
| Warning: no diffs and same tarball (choose-mirror_1.07.tar.gz), | not attempting to diff and giving an exit code of zero. If it doesn't support this operation, it should be non-zero IMHO, but best would be to just diff ahead. Debdiffing same-version has a big use in checking for inadvertant changes between local interations of packaging fixes, remaking the source package provided by a sponsoree, etc. --Jeroen -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-686 Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages devscripts depends on: ii debianutils 2.8.4 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii dpkg-dev 1.10.27 Package building tools for Debian ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-21 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii perl 5.8.4-8 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii sed 4.1.2-8 The GNU sed stream editor -- no debconf information -- Jeroen van Wolffelaar [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://jeroen.A-Eskwadraat.nl -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
