Package: courier-imap
Version: 4.3.0-1.
Severity: important

After the recent upgrade, icedove (thunderbird) cannot usefully access my
mailbox. It seems to log in, but all mail messages appear blank.

I know that icedove works, because it can access my mail at work via IMAP.

I had a working installation which stopped after the upgrade.
I then purged and used out-of-the-box courier-imap-ssl and courier-imap,
and get similar behavior.

When I try to log in on port 143 via the "TLS" setting on icedove, I get the
error
"Checking mail server capabilities" then
"The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: Error in IMAP
command received by server.." [OK]
The same happens when I click on a message.

If I try logging in with TLS set to "Never", It says "Login to server 127.0.0.1
failed"
[OK] then gives me an "Enter your password" box. Then, when I type a
password,
the box silently disappears, but I have no obvious access.

If I change to using SSL on port 993, then I apparently can see the folder
listing,
but all messages appear blank.

Again, icedove works perfectly when connected to my work IMAP server.
