Package: clamav-daemon Version: 0.92~dfsg-1~volatile1 Severity: normal After upgrading to latest version from volatile the daemon fails to start:
Starting ClamAV daemon: clamd ERROR: Parse error at line 43: Unknown option NodalCoreAcceleration. ERROR: Can't open/parse the config file /etc/clamav/clamd.conf failed! In the release notes of version 0.90 I found the following: Support for Sensory Networks' NodalCore acceleration technology (http://www.clamav.net/nodalcore/) is now available in ClamAV and will be compiled in if the ncore libraries are detected at compile time. So the problem might be, that this version is built somehow different than the previous one. Removing the option from the configuration fixes the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages clamav-daemon depends on: ii clamav-base 0.92~dfsg-1~volatile1 base package for clamav, an anti-v ii clamav-freshclam [ 0.92~dfsg-1~volatile1 downloads clamav virus databases f ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libclamav3 0.92~dfsg-1~volatile1 virus scanner library ii lsb-base 3.1-23.2etch1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii ucf 2.0020 Update Configuration File: preserv clamav-daemon recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
