Same behavior with 2.6.23-1 from unstable. I found that passing the following options on the kernel command line enable the kernel to see the missing drives again: pnpacpi=off noapic Both are required, any one (or neither) results in the problem described above. I've been using this workaround for the past few months. This appears to be an BIOS/ACPI problem rather than anything with the sata_nv driver.
