Oops, seems like I attached an 'older' version I had around. The only change 
is in line 50, from
        zcat "$1" | filterdiff -i "^$f$" -p1 > $NF
to
        zcat "$1" | filterdiff -i "$f" -p1 > $NF

Attaching the right/working script this time.
