Package: libfreetype6 Version: 2.2.1-5+etch1 sdl_ttf v2.0.8 produces a runtime error: Failed loading DPMSDisable: /usr/lib/libX11.so.6: undefined symbol: DPMSDisable
I just found out that this crash is caused by a bug in freetype v2.2.1. Both packages were installed through apt-get. I thought I could get around this by removing FreeType and just grabbing the latest FreeType source code to do make install, but first trying to apt-get remove libfreetype6 wants to uninstall all my other packages. I can't spend the time reinstalling from source all of those other packages too.
