Package: scite
Version: 1.71-1
Severity: wishlist

Clicking on Help->SciTE Help causes the following response:

>x-www-browser "file:///usr/share/scite/SciTEDoc.html"
>Exit code: 0

If you have a browser (i.e. firefox/iceweasel) running and it is iconized,
then nothing visible happens. The page is loaded, but the page
and the browser remains a tiny icon. This can incorrectly convince people
(e.g. me) that the help system is broken.

It would be best if scite could give the browser some flag to cause
it to de-iconize, if such a thing exists. (It could be done with some
javascript, at least for many browsers.) Or, at least have it echo
"SciTE documentation should appear in your web browser."
That might cause some people to scratch their head, say "Duh!" and
click on the web browser icon.

If implemented, this wishlist item will reduce frustration by 30 seconds in 30%
of the users and will reduce frustration by 4 minutes in another 10%.
The other 60% never have their browsers iconized.
