Package: lintian Version: 1.23.41 Severity: minor Hi,
I encoundeted this by misusing --color: Transcript: $ lintian --color libend-perl_1.2-6_i386.changes $ $ lintian libend-perl_1.2-6_i386.changes E: libend-perl_1.2-6_i386.changes: bad-distribution-in-changes-file UNRELEASED W: libend-perl source: changelog-should-mention-nmu W: libend-perl source: source-nmu-has-incorrect-version-number 1.2-6 "--color auto" works as expected. Perhaps this is because the .changes given is interpreted as a value for --color? Still, lintian usually complains if no files (and no opions) are given... Looking at the source it seems to me that the check for $#ARGV being -1 around line 106 should be moved somewhere before processing package/file arguments (line 582) or right after parsing options (line 299).
