forwarded 455317 Razvan Cojocaru <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> stop Hi,
Please look at this bug report. Thanks, Kartik ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Martin Michlmayr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Dec 9, 2007 11:33 PM Subject: Bug#455317: FTBFS with GCC 4.3: duplicate function parameters To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Package: xchm Version: 2:1.13-6 Usertags: ftbfs-gcc-4.3 Your package fails to build with GCC 4.3. Version 4.3 has not been released yet but I'm building with a snapshot in order to find errors and give people an advance warning. GCC 4.3 now prints an error message when C++ code contains duplicate function parameter names in function prototypes, see http://www.cyrius.com/journal/2007/12/07#gcc-4.3-multiple-params You can reproduce this problem with gcc-snapshot from unstable. Note that Red Hat, Novell and Ubuntu have done some work getting packages to build with GCC 4.3 so there might be patches floating around somewhere. I suggest you talk to your upstream. > Automatic build of xchm_2:1.13-6 on em64t by sbuild/amd64 0.53 ... > make[3]: Entering directory `/build/tbm/xchm-1.13/src' > if x86_64-linux-gnu-g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../art > -I/usr/lib/wx/include/gtk2-unicode-release-2.6 -I/usr/include/wx-2.6 > -DGTK_NO_CHECK_CASTS -D__WXGTK__ -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGE_FILES > -DNO_GCC_PRAGMA -I/usr/lib/wx/include/gtk2-unicode-release-2.6 > -I/usr/include/wx-2.6 -DGTK_NO_CHECK_CASTS -D__WXGTK__ -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 > -D_LARGE_FILES -DNO_GCC_PRAGMA -W -Wall -MT chmapp.o -MD -MP -MF > ".deps/chmapp.Tpo" -c -o chmapp.o chmapp.cpp; \ > then mv -f ".deps/chmapp.Tpo" ".deps/chmapp.Po"; else rm -f > ".deps/chmapp.Tpo"; exit 1; fi > In file included from chmapp.cpp:28: > ./chmfile.h:282: error: multiple parameters named 'toBuild' > make[3]: *** [chmapp.o] Error 1 > make[3]: Leaving directory `/build/tbm/xchm-1.13/src' -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- Cheers, -------------------------------------------------- Kartik Mistry | 0xD1028C8D | IRC: kart_ kartikm.wordpress.com | blog.ftbfs.in -------------------------------------------------- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
