Package: hk-classes Version: 0.8.3-3 Usertags: ftbfs-gcc-4.3 Your package fails to build with GCC 4.3. Version 4.3 has not been released yet but I'm building with a snapshot in order to find errors and give people an advance warning. In GCC 4.3, the C++ header dependencies have been cleaned up. The advantage of this is that programs will compile faster. The downside is that you actually need to directly #include everything you use (but you really should do this anyway, otherwise your program won't work with any compiler other than GCC). There's some more information about this at http://www.cyrius.com/journal/2007/05/10#gcc-4.3-include
You can reproduce this problem with gcc-snapshot from unstable. Note that Red Hat, Novell and Ubuntu have done some work getting packages to build with GCC 4.3 so there might be patches floating around somewhere. I suggest you talk to your upstream. > Automatic build of hk-classes_0.8.3-3 on em64t by sbuild/amd64 0.53 ... > g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -DHKCLASSES=\"/usr/lib/hk_classes\" -W > -Wconversion -Wshadow -Wcast-qual -Wwrite-strings -Wall > -I/usr/include/python2.4 -fPIC -I/usr/include/libxml2 > -I/usr/include/fontconfig -I/usr/include/freetype2 -g -Wall -O2 -c > hk_actionquery.cpp -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/libhk_classes_la-hk_actionquery.o > In file included from ./hk_class.h:13, > from ./hk_data.h:13, > from hk_actionquery.h:13, > from hk_actionquery.cpp:12: > ./hk_definitions.h:129: warning: 'typedef' was ignored in this declaration > ./hk_definitions.h:145: warning: 'typedef' was ignored in this declaration > ./hk_definitions.h:168: warning: 'typedef' was ignored in this declaration > ./hk_definitions.h:238: warning: 'typedef' was ignored in this declaration > In file included from hk_presentation.h:19, > from hk_database.h:17, > from hk_actionquery.cpp:13: > hk_datasource.h:756: warning: 'typedef' was ignored in this declaration > hk_actionquery.cpp: In member function 'void hk_actionquery::set_sql(const > hk_string&, bool)': > hk_actionquery.cpp:68: error: 'memcpy' was not declared in this scope > make[4]: *** [libhk_classes_la-hk_actionquery.lo] Error 1 > make[4]: Leaving directory `/build/tbm/hk-classes-0.8.3/hk_classes' -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
