thanks

Greetings,

I'm going through old bugs filed against the Debian OpenAFS packages and
found the following bug that you reported a little over three years ago:

| Package: openafs-modules-source
| Version: 1.2.2-3
|
| It seems that I have very similar problems as the original bug
| submitter. I'm running a 2.4.10 Kernel without any filesystem
| extravagancies, i.e. plain ext2. When the openafs module is
| used, it gives me this:
|
| kernel: Code: Bad EIP value.
[...]

There is now a much newer version of the OpenAFS client in Debian testing
that fixes many issues, and I'm guessing you're probably also now using a
newer kernel. Could you try out the latest version of the OpenAFS package
and see if you're still having this problem?

My guess is that it has been fixed somewhere in the intervening releases.
