hi, today i installed a sid-chroot on my (i386) notebook with a intel GPU, which works with xorg's "intel" driver. i enabled compositing, and tried xfce4-terminal in that environment, but i didn't notice the slow redraw and resize effect with and without using compositing. maybe it's after all a xorg problem? - on my amd64 machine, which runs the proprietary nvidia driver, the problem still exists.
