Package: klamav Version: 0.38-1.1 I am seeing the error reported in bug #416619.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=102171 shows that this is the wrong version for clamav 0.90x, it should be 0.41.1. A report in Ubuntuforums identifies such a mismatch as the cause of the error.
