Package: bugs.debian.org Severity: wishlist Hi,
it happens frequently that a bug report "drifts away" when third parties add messages like "Me too", but have a totally different problem. In these case, the canonical way to handle both issues separately is to clone the bug. However, both bugs have the same "root" and "beginning", which can be severely annoying if the bug being cloned has been open for a long time. Please consider adding a possibility to allow the package maintainer either to (A) remove (or hide) messages from a bug report so that they are no longer displayed by default or (B) clone a bug report, moving (or copying, at the cloner's discretion) a list of messages to the cloned bug or (C) a different method to keep irrelevant information away from the casual viewer.
