I have one zyxel wireless usb 802.11b (kernel module zd1201) but dhcp doesn't work at boot time (open wifi lan). After booting dhcp worked. Then I changed init script networking from /etc/rcS.d to /etc/rc2.d and the init at boot goes fine, I think cause other init script (may be d-bus) should be launched before networking ( at least for that usb wifi). I'm not familiarized whiith rc.d init scripts and I don't know if that solution has any security or incompatible issue. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-k7 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages netbase depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.11 Debian configuration management sy ii ifupdown 0.6.8 high level tools to configure netw ii iputils-ping [ping] 3:20020927-6 Tools to test the reachability of ii lsb-base 3.1-23.2etch1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii openbsd-inetd [inet-supers 0.20050402-6 The OpenBSD Internet Superserver netbase recommends no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
