Hi Marcin, you are right, keepalived doesn't work with the debian default kernel. The ipvs code used in the default kernel is buggy, so keepalived is build against the ipvs headers from 2.6.11/2.4.28. It was my fault not to mention that fact in the documentation, I updated the package description and the README file, so that this fact should be clear. As I'm not able to fix that bug I'll tag it wontfix and downgrade its priority to important, so that it stays in the bts. If you disagree with this decision you are free to discuss it with me.
