Hello,
Using the lastest 3.2.3 for etch, fai-setup fails:
blues:/etc/fai# tail /var/log/fai/fai-setup.log
/usr/sbin/fai-setup: line 147: start: command not found
blues:/etc/fai# cat -n /usr/sbin/fai-setup.orig | grep 147
147 { start huge block for capturing output
^
It seems that it lacks a '#' before the comment text.
