Thanks for the bug report. I have confirmed that this is a problem with all tested released, of both djview3 and djview4, up to and including the most recent version in CVS. Unfortunately the fault does not occur at some obvious place, like the first time the file is opened. In fact the file is opened repeatedly, and the failure occurs on the 45th out of 53 open()s done when the file is renamed to something innocuous.
