-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Alt-F opens File menu in most gui applications on ubuntu, so it is reasonable for drscheme to do the same to integrate better with the rest of the desktop. The fact that emacs doesn't is emacs' bug.
In fact drscheme fakes emacs keybindings, because it doesn't respect Meta at all, but only listens for Alt - which breaks user expectations when Meta is mapped to some other key (e.g. a Win key). The reason is probably that wxWindows and hence MrEd don't support Meta modifier. But as usual in emacs - Meta modifier can be emulated by pressing Escape and then the key to be modified. I don't think the option default should be changed. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHSMqJwLqAlx74kZ4RAt/sAKCSp7GiniHnaAxz3zFwbzMjX2PPIwCfeZNE ZK9dBA8YR9nAFoJL7VvwAT8= =quHA -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
