In case smarty-gettext is added as a Build-Depends make sure php5-cli is kept as a build-dep, otherwise the php5 package is installed as a dependency of smarty-gettext causing apache to be installed on the build system. It might probably be a good idea to patch the Makefile so --language=PHP is passed to xgettext when called.
