Package: gimp Version: 2.4.2-1 Severity: important Current gimp package 2.4.2-1 seems happy with old libgimps. From apt-cache show gimp:
---8<--- Depends: gimp-data (>= 2.4.2), gimp-data (<< 2.4.2-z), libaa1 (>= 1.2), ... libgimp2.0 (>= 2.4.0-1), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.14.0), libgtk2.0-0 (>= --->8--- And then you launch gimp to get: ---8<--- Libgimp version mismatch! The GIMP binary cannot run with a libgimp version other than its own. This is GIMP 2.4.2, but the libgimp version is 2.4.1. Maybe you have GIMP versions in both /usr and /usr/local ? ---8<--- So I had to apt-get install libgimp2.0 to make sure it gets upgraded, and then it works. This situation was reached by installing gimp 2.4.1 and, some time later, install again to get 2.4.2. In any case, the packages are incompatible, so the Depends should explicitly require the correct version. GSR -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
