Thanks for your response. Seeing those empty info pages, I thought there was some technical error! (like missing files, a corrupted info index, etc.) To save other users from a similar surprise, I'd like to add one more wishlist item, which would be easier than completing the documentation. I'd have liked to see a statement like The info documentation of eshell isn't complete. Some useful information can be found at http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/emacs-en?CategoryEshell and the newsgroup gnu.emacs.help is a good place to ask questions regarding eshell or something along the lines, at the very top of the info tree of eshell.
