It seems it can't find a lot of files related to cursors, could that be the problem ?
Maybe - it looks like you're using a "redglass" theme for gtk 1.2. Can you try disabling the theme? (Temporarily move the ~/.gtkrc* files somewhere else.)
Do you have problems with other gtk1.2 applications?
